Meet the Mind Behind Shine Bright

Hi, my friends! Thank you so much for coming to my page. My name is Alyssa Green, and I am the creator and founder of Shine Bright: Mind and Body Wellness. I have called Nashville, TN my home for the past 7 years. During my time here I have found a love and passion for all wellness. While I believe there is something so significant to being physically fit, I believe it all starts with the mind and how we show up mentally every day.

This concept of bringing mental health awareness to the mixture of personal training was due to a personal journey that I have been through and will continue to advocate for. When you workout you bring a sense of exhilaration to your body, the endorphins flow and you feel unstoppable. Well, I realized after a long uphill climb of dealing with mental health situations over my adult life that I didn’t want just a temporary high or outlet. I wanted working out and the gym to be a bonus to a life I didn’t need to escape. This came with more than just a thought to change that, it meant I had to evaluate a lot about myself. I had to adapt to a lifestyle that wasn’t limiting me. I looked at therapy as something I was grateful for rather than needing it be something I had to do. Then the hard part, I had no choice but to face everything in my life and understand where I could apply tools that I learned to bring change.

As humans we are built to be resilient and strong, but life can get in the way and we lose sight of our capabilities. I want everyone to understand that the past, present, and future are all something we can be proud of in different ways. This program is here to help you find out who you are fully capable of being. We are mixing strength training with mindful habits, life corrections, and trauma acknowledgment. As we bind together what makes our own individual bodies thrive, we will overall bring a shine that you didn’t know you had within you. You are the brightness, and I am here to help remind you of just that!

5:00am – 6:15 am
5:30 pm – 6:45 pm

Saturday
7:00 am – 8:15 am
8:30 am – 9:45 am
